This tour offers an opportunity
to sample some of Costa Rica's natural man-made
beauty. The first and largest part of the tour takes
you to the majestic Irazú Volcano (11.000 feet above
sea level) in the province of Cartago. After admiring
the striking majesty of the colossus and its breathtaking
views (the Atlantic and the Pacific Oceans at the
same time on a clear day), we continue our tour
to the beautiful Lancaster Gardens where over 3000
species of plants, including a spectacular collections
of orchids, await us.
Once we walk the
trails of this botanical paradise, we head for the
Orosi valley where within the walls of the oldest
church in Costa Rica, the church of Orosi, we find
evidence of the presence of our Spanish predecessors
and their strong religious heritage. We stop for
lunch at a Riverside restaurant before returning
you to your hotel.
Includes: Transportation, services of a bilingual
guide and $6 park entrance fee.
